Rural Retreats

Far From the Madding Crowd...

Ever felt like getting away from it all and escaping? Then take a look at some of our beautiful rural properties. All located within 20 minutes of Kalkan in picturesque Turkish villages, these villas offer everything you could need for a perfect, relaxing holiday.

Villa Paradise Gardens is a substantial villa sleeping up to 16 guests in the village of Uzumlu. Uzumlu is a sleepy, authentic village nestled at the foot of the Taurus mountains where the pace of life remains blissfully slow. Apart from an excellent Pide Restaurant (Turkish pizzas) and a couple of small mini markets- Kalkan is the nearest main town. Villa Paradise Gardens itself has been lovingly built by owners Debbie and Ramazan and it's name could not be more apt- the villa is surrounded by beautiful gardens full of Mediterranean planting, fruit trees, herb bushes and bougainvillea. The villa boasts sweeping, panoramic views over the plains below outwards Patara beach in the distance, on a clear day it is even possible to see the island of Rhodes in the distance. Debbie and Ramazan are always on hand should you stay at the villa and Debbie is a fantastic chef- so there is the option to go completely self catering or enjoy some of Debbie's delicious cuisine. Villa Şahinkaya must be seen to be believed. The villa is set on the outskirts of the hamlet of Saribelen, another rural idyll where life has not changed much for generations. Built by owners Jeremy and Gillie, Villa Sahinkaya is a stunning villa based on traditional Turkish village houses yet it boasts modern luxuries such as underfloor heating and a sublime natural infinity pool. Bursting with character and charm, the villa almost feels like it's popped out of the pages of a fairy tale. From all rooms there are spectacular views, with the glistening sea in the distance framed perfectly by two mountains. New to the rental market for 2017, see more information about the villa here Villa Sahinkaya

For those wanting the best of both worlds- peace and quiet yet only a few minutes from everything Kalkan has to offer, Villa Belma is hard to beat. Owned by local boutique owner and tailor Belma and her husband, the villa is a beautiful home set in the village of Kordere. Once not much more than a small cluster of Turkish houses, Kordere is tucked away at the top of the Kalkan with the Taurus mountains rising up directly behind the village. Despite now being home to many luxury villas, Kordere has retained it's authentic village charm and traditional stone houses sit close by to their modern counterparts. The villa has been lovingly designed by Belma (her artistic flare is clear to see!) and has the genuine warmth of a much loved home. The villa has spectacular panoramic views out over neighbouring olive groves and out to the bay of Kalkan beyond. The private pool is the perfect place to spend many lazy days and in the evening soak up the majestic sunset, perhaps whilst enjoying a glass of the locally produced wine. Just a 20 minute drive from Kalkan and only a few minutes drive from the many trout restaurants of Islamlar Village, the villa sits nestled at the foot of the Taurus mountains, surrounded by lush fields and pine forests.
