Roundhouse Villa is a beautiful detached villa in the resort of Kalkan that is bursting with unique character. Set on a peaceful hillside the villa enjoys stunning views over Kalkan bay yet is only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Kalkan. Sat on a very large plot, the villa has fantastic outdoor areas including a large private swimming pool, traditional Turkish 'kosk' seating area, roof terrace and beautiful, mature gardens. With a spacious open plan living area, fully equipped kitchen and three double en-suite bedrooms all decorated in a traditional Turkish style- the villa is the ideal holiday home.
Ground floor:
On entering the property there is a spacious open plan living area which is bustling with unique Turkish antiques and hand made decorative objects. The open living area has sofas, a TV with DVD and Wi-Fi. At the far end of this open plan is the kitchen which is traditional in style yet fully equipped with all white goods and appliances needed for a self catering holiday. Doors lead out onto the outdoor dining terrace and pool area.
First floor:
On the first floor of the property are two double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized double bed, dressing area with wardrobes and beautiful sea views. There is an en-suite bathroom with shower, WC and sink.
The second bedroom on this level is entered via a dressing area. The bedroom has a king sized double bed, wardrobes and views over the pretty garden. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, WC and sink.
Both of these bedrooms have access out onto a large shared balcony which is comfortably furnished with a table and chairs. From here there are glorious views over Kalkan and the bay.
Second floor:
On the top floor of the villa is the twin bedroom which is full of character. Furnished with solid wood twin beds and wardrobes, this bedroom has access directly out onto the roof terrace. The en-suite bathroom is a very good size with bath, shower, WC and sink. All rooms are fully air conditioned.
Outdoor areas:
The outside areas of Villa Roundhouse are truly special- the extensive gardens have been lovingly maintained and offer a plethora of Mediterranean fruit trees, bougainvillea and plants. The private swimming pool is a very good size and has Roman steps at one end for easy access. Adjacent to the pool is a spacious terrace area with an outdoor shower and wooden sun loungers.
If you want to escape the heat, the traditional 'kosk' or Turkish summer house, is the perfect place to recline on Turkish cushions in the cool.
Immediately outside the kitchen there is a dining terrace with table and chairs to seat 6.
At the top of the villa is the roof terrace which offers fantastic panoramic views. This terrace is furnished with further sun loungers and comfortable chairs. At Villa Roundhouse, the views are uninterrupted from all levels.
The villa is situated in the Ortalaan area of Kalkan- a very peaceful district yet Kalkan can easily be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Alternatively, taxis are readily available and very reasonably priced.
